Verizon has confirmed that it will increase several commonly hidden fees on customer bills beginning September 1. Although the company offered a three-year price lock earlier this year, those protections do not apply to fees or surcharges, allowing this adjustment.
The Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge will rise by 28 cents per voice line. For data-only plans, the fee will increase by $2.37. Alongside that, the Regulatory Charge will go up by three cents, and device activation fees will increase from $35 to $40. Tablet data plan pricing will also see a $5 per month increase.
Verizon asserts that these changes are in line with market standards and are intended to help the company continue delivering high-quality network services.
