Nintendo revealed today during its Nintendo Direct that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will launch worldwide on December 4, 2025, for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
A new trailer showed Samus Aran traversing a desert environment using a futuristic vehicle—her motorbike, named Vi-0-La. The footage also included first-person gameplay segments and cinematic shots featuring the bounty hunter Sylux, one of the game’s antagonists.
In addition to the release date, Nintendo confirmed three new amiibo figures tied to the game’s rollout:
- A Samus figure, arriving November 6, 2025.
- A Samus + Vi-0-La (motorbike) figure, also on November 6.
- A Sylux figure, launching on December 4, 2025.
The development of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was restarted in 2019 under Retro Studios after calls for rework, following its original announcement in 2017. Today’s confirmation marks a major milestone as the long-awaited title finally secures its release window.
