LG is expanding its UltraGear lineup with a new wave of premium gaming monitors aimed at high-end PC and console players, highlighted by displays that push into 5K-class resolution territory. The new models are set to debut at CES 2026 and focus on pairing extreme visual clarity with fast refresh rates, OLED contrast, and Mini LED brightness.

The centerpiece of the announcement is a 45-inch UltraGear OLED gaming monitor featuring a 5K-class ultrawide resolution in a curved format. LG says the display is designed to deliver both cinematic immersion and competitive-grade performance, with a 240Hz refresh rate, fast pixel response times, and deep OLED contrast tuned specifically for gaming.

In a statement accompanying the announcement, LG said the new monitors are intended to “set a new benchmark for immersive gaming visuals,” adding that the combination of high resolution, speed, and panel technology reflects “the direction premium gaming displays are heading.”

Alongside the OLED flagship, LG also revealed new Mini LED UltraGear monitors aimed at players who want high brightness and HDR performance. These models feature 165Hz refresh rates, local dimming, and DisplayHDR support, making them suitable for both fast-paced competitive play and visually demanding single-player titles. LG says the Mini LED panels were designed to deliver stronger contrast control and more consistent brightness across large screen sizes.

Connectivity and compatibility are a major focus across the lineup. LG confirmed support for HDMI 2.1, variable refresh rate technologies, Nvidia G-SYNC Compatibility, and AMD FreeSync Premium. USB-C ports with power delivery are also included on select models, allowing users to connect laptops and peripherals through a single cable while maintaining high refresh rates.

LG described the UltraGear lineup as targeting gamers who “refuse to compromise between performance and picture quality,” noting that the new displays are built to handle both next-generation consoles and high-end PC hardware. The company also emphasized that the monitors are designed with long gaming sessions in mind, incorporating ergonomic stands and display management features.

Full pricing and availability details have not yet been announced. LG plans to reveal final specifications and launch timing during CES 2026, with global availability expected later in the year.
