Capcom is going all in on the Nintendo Switch 2. The publisher announced that Resident Evil: Requiem will arrive on the new console on February 27, 2026, the same day it launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Alongside the game, Capcom is preparing a full lineup of themed hardware, collectibles, and bundles that show its growing confidence in Nintendo’s next-gen platform.
According to Capcom, the company began testing the hardware when it ported Resident Evil Village to the Switch 2 internally. The results surprised even its own engineers. “It looked really great,” said producer Masato Kumazawa. “That gave us the confidence to bring more of our mainline titles to Nintendo players.” That decision led to the announcement of Resident Evil: Requiem for the console and a collection of companion products designed specifically for Switch 2 owners.
The first of these products is the Resident Evil: Requiem Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, a limited-run design featuring a black matte finish with blood-red highlights and the Requiem logo across the grips. The controller will retail for $99.99 and comes with custom vibration profiles tuned for the game. It will be available exclusively through GameStop and select online retailers when preorders open in early 2026.
Capcom is also bundling several previous entries into a single package called the Resident Evil Generation Pack. The collection includes Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil 8: Village, and Resident Evil: Requiem, allowing new players to experience the full narrative arc on one console. The bundle will sell for $89.99 and will ship the same week as Requiem’s release.

In a first for the long-running horror series, Capcom is introducing an official Resident Evil Amiibo, featuring new protagonist Grace Ashcroft. The collectible figure will unlock exclusive in-game cosmetics and additional health items when scanned on the Switch 2. The Amiibo will be priced at $117.99 due to its limited production run and will be distributed through major retailers and Capcom’s online store.

Those looking for a nostalgic touch can pick up the Resident Evil Triple Pack, a collection that includes Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6 optimized for the new hardware. The set will cost $29.99 and is designed for fans who want to revisit the classics ahead of Requiem’s launch.
Rounding out the merchandise lineup is a set of Resident Evil Acrylic Charms, priced at $12.16 on Etsy. These small collectibles feature character art from across the franchise and are aimed at longtime fans who have followed the series since its 1996 debut.
Capcom’s full-scale support of the Nintendo Switch 2 shows how seriously major publishers are treating Nintendo’s new console. With Resident Evil: Requiem leading the charge, and a range of custom gear accompanying it, the company is positioning the franchise for both seasoned players and newcomers who will experience survival horror for the first time on next-gen portable hardware.
