Caterpillar announced that CEO Joe Creed will deliver a keynote at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, marking the company’s first appearance on the world’s biggest consumer-technology stage. Scheduled for January 7 in the Palazzo Ballroom at the Venetian, Creed’s presentation will focus on how Caterpillar is using artificial intelligence, autonomy, and digital platforms to redefine its century-old brand.

Creed said, “We are building on our strong legacy of innovation, rapidly expanding our tech capabilities in new ways that help solve our customers’ toughest challenges.” The company plans to unveil advancements in autonomous vehicles, machine-learning systems, and data-driven solutions for construction, mining, and energy applications.

Caterpillar will also feature interactive exhibits in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, including live demonstrations of connected machinery, smart-power systems, and predictive maintenance technology. The initiative aligns with Caterpillar’s goal of showing how it is turning heavy iron into intelligent, connected ecosystems.

Gary Shapiro, CEO of the Consumer Technology Association, said, “CES is where innovators show up and bold ideas come to life. We’re excited to welcome Caterpillar to the keynote stage to showcase how technology is transforming every industry.”

By appearing at CES, Caterpillar is making a statement that its future depends as much on code as on steel. The keynote will serve as a preview of how the company plans to use digital intelligence, automation, and AI to build the next generation of smart industrial machines.
