Country music legend Dolly Parton has postponed her highly anticipated 2026 Las Vegas concerts, citing medical advice to take time off and prioritize her health.
In a statement shared Sunday, Parton’s team explained that she is managing a respiratory issue and that her doctors have urged her not to travel or perform until she has fully recovered. While no new dates have been confirmed, fans who already purchased tickets will be able to use them for rescheduled shows or request refunds through the original point of purchase.
Parton, 80, expressed gratitude to fans for their patience and support, assuring them this is not a retirement announcement. “I’m not hanging up my boots just yet,” she said. “I just need to take some time to get back to full strength, and then I’ll be ready to give Las Vegas the show it deserves.”
The residency was expected to feature Parton performing both timeless classics like Jolene and 9 to 5 alongside songs from her 2023 rock album Rockstar. The production was being billed as one of her most ambitious live shows to date, bringing her decades-long career to the Vegas Strip in a multi-night spectacle.
While fans will have to wait a little longer, Parton’s camp has emphasized that plans are still in motion and that the country icon is eager to return to the stage when she’s healthy.
