The new series It: Welcome to Derry will drop its second episode earlier than planned to celebrate Halloween. Episode 2 will be available on HBO Max on Friday, October 31, at 12:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. ET, ahead of its broadcast on HBO on Sunday, November 2, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
The series, developed for television by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, is a prequel to the feature-film adaptations of It and is set in the town of Derry, Maine. The cast includes Bill Skarsgård reprising his role as Pennywise, along with Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk and others. The early release of Episode 2 aligns with the eerie timing of Halloween and the show’s horror pedigree.
Viewing will then return to the regular Sunday schedule on HBO Max and HBO, leading up to the season finale on December 14.
