John Summit’s Experts Only Festival will return to New York City on September 19 and 20, 2026. The announcement comes after a successful 2025 debut on Randall’s Island, where more than fifty thousand attendees showed up for two days of house and techno. The event earned strong feedback for its production quality, curated lineup and the way it handled large crowds.
Experts Only began as Summit’s way to create a space built around “music without limits.” The brand blends underground roots with large-scale festival energy, which helped its first year stand out. The 2025 lineup included Kaskade and Cassian, Green Velvet and Layton Giordani, LP Giobbi, Kasablanca and Pete Tong. The response suggested that New York’s appetite for a well run electronic festival is still there.
Summit explained his decision to return to the city by saying, “New York is not only one of my favorite markets, it’s one of the biggest in the world, and there’s literally no electronic festival. There’s a glaring gap in the market, it’s a no-brainer for us to do New York.” Organizers plan to expand the layout and boost production for 2026. They also plan to weave the Experts Only community deeper into the experience. The full lineup has not been announced, but fans who attended in 2025 will receive first access to a loyalty presale opening November 25 at noon eastern.
The festival is produced with partners who have experience running major events in large markets, including Medium Rare, Relentless Beats and EMW Presents. Their involvement signals confidence that the 2026 edition may scale beyond last year’s footprint.
Experts Only has arrived at a time when New York’s electronic festival scene has been quiet. With the fall of events like Electric Zoo, the city has lacked a strong house and techno festival. The swift success of Summit’s first year shows that demand is still strong. For fans, the 2026 edition has the potential to become a key date on New York’s music calendar.
