LG is gearing up to redefine home audio at CES 2026 with a new modular sound system built around advanced Dolby Atmos technology. The centerpiece of this lineup isn’t just another soundbar, it’s a scalable suite of components that can adapt to many room sizes and configurations while delivering immersive surround sound that rivals traditional home theater systems.

At the heart of the new system is the LG H7 soundbar, the first unit from LG designed to take advantage of Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, a new audio platform that lets wireless speakers work together more flexibly than typical wireless setups. This soundbar can function on its own or serve as the lead device in a larger system that includes wireless surround speakers and a subwoofer, all without the clutter of speaker cables.

LG calls this family of products the LG Sound Suite, which pairs the H7 bar with optional M7 and M5 wireless surround speakers and a W7 subwoofer. Users will be able to mix and match components to suit their space and listening preferences. In its largest configuration, this system can support up to 13.1.7 channels of audio, offering height channels and deep surround immersion for movies, music and games.

The appeal of Dolby Atmos FlexConnect is that it removes many of the placement constraints that come with traditional surround systems. Instead of having to run wires or precisely position speakers, users can set up wireless surrounds where they fit best, and Dolby’s technology adapts the sound output to keep Atmos effects accurate and satisfying. LG also plans to extend support for FlexConnect through software updates to premium TVs, meaning select LG sets may integrate with this audio ecosystem more tightly in the future.

LG’s sound systems have long supported immersive formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and this new modular approach shows how the company is trying to make high-end audio easier for mainstream consumers while preserving performance. With CES 2026 scheduled for early January in Las Vegas, this Sound Suite and the Dolby Atmos FlexConnect rollout will be among the biggest home audio announcements at the show.
