The PlayStation: The Concert tour, which celebrates music from major PlayStation franchises, has seen most of its 2025 U.S. dates cancelled. The orchestral event was expected to highlight scores from The Last of Us, God of War, Horizon, and Ghost of Tsushima, but many of its performances have quietly disappeared from ticketing platforms without explanation.
Fans noticed that multiple Ticketmaster listings were removed or marked as unavailable, leaving only a handful of later shows still visible. Concerts planned for 2026 remain on the schedule for now, but GEA Live, the production company behind the tour, confirmed that all 2025 U.S. performances have been cancelled.
In a statement, GEA Live said, “We are saddened to announce that the 2025 PlayStation: The Concert tour in North America has been cancelled. We deeply appreciate the fans who showed excitement and support for this production, and we did not make this decision lightly.”
The company did not provide a reason for the cancellations, but several industry analysts point to uneven ticket sales and limited marketing. Some earlier shows reportedly struggled with attendance, while others were well received but lacked visibility.
The setlist also drew mixed reactions. Many fans praised the focus on modern PlayStation classics but wished the program included more of the brand’s early history. The tour leaned heavily on music from recent hits, with little representation from PlayStation’s older catalog.
Sony has not commented on the situation, and it remains unclear whether the concert series will resume in 2026 or be permanently shelved. Ticket holders for the cancelled shows have begun receiving refunds.
For now, PlayStation: The Concert joins a growing list of ambitious live gaming events that struggled to maintain momentum, despite strong fan recognition of the brands they celebrate.
