Razer has launched the Raiju V3 Pro, a new wireless controller designed for the PlayStation 5 and PC. It carries a premium design and features tailored for competitive gamers, including symmetrical TMR (Tunnel Magnetic Resistance) thumbsticks, mouse-click style triggers, remappable back buttons, interchangeable stick caps, and more.
Razer explains the TMR thumbsticks as being engineered “for pixel-perfect precision” and built to reduce inputs like drift that affect many standard analog sticks. The controller also features “Pro HyperTriggers” which allow players to switch between rapid-click actuation and full analog trigger pulls. According to Razer, the design is about giving console players the competitive edge once reserved for esports gear.
One of Razer’s partners in the product launch, 2023 Call of Duty world champion HyDra, said: “The TMR thumbsticks are laser-precise, and the customization lets me fine-tune every input to match my playstyle. It gives me the speed, control, and confidence to stay locked in and clutch up.”
Beyond the high-end sticks and triggers, the Raiju V3 Pro includes four removable mouse-click back buttons and two claw-grip bumpers. The face buttons use mecha-tactile PBT materials for crisp feedback and durability. The D-pad is an eight-way floating design. Razer’s marketing emphasizes the controller is “built for elite console competition” and offers wireless connectivity via 2.4GHz (with wired option also likely available).
The price is listed at $219.99 for U.S. release. Razer states the controller is officially licensed for PS5 and also compatible with PC, making it a cross-platform option for serious players. While Razer notes the product is tournament-ready, it also positions it toward any gamer looking to upgrade from standard controllers.
From reviews, early testers highlight the weight, feel, and response of the Raiju V3 Pro as significant improvements over many factory controllers. Some comments note that while the build quality is strong, it may not quite reach the absolute premium feel of the best PC-oriented controllers. One review states: the TMR thumbsticks “feel incredible” and the mouse-click triggers “deliver ultra-fast actuation and tactile feedback.” On the flip side, some testers point out the form factor and cable notch design could have been refined further.
If you’re a competitive PlayStation 5 player or use PC with a PlayStation-style layout, the Raiju V3 Pro positions itself as one of the most advanced options available today. With its precision hardware and customization capabilities, it aims to raise the bar for console gaming controllers.
