PlayStation has revealed its January PlayStation Plus monthly games, kicking off the new year with a lineup that mixes high-speed racing, classic Disney platforming, and creative underground survival. Subscribers will be able to claim all three titles beginning January 6, with availability running through February 2.
Leading the lineup is Need for Speed Unbound, EA’s bold entry in the long-running racing franchise. The game blends realistic cars with stylized visual effects, wrapping street racing in a graffiti-inspired presentation. Players compete in Lakeshore City, balancing risk and reward as they build heat with police, earn cash, and customize vehicles. Both single-player and online multiplayer modes are included, making it a substantial addition for PS Plus members who missed it at launch.
Also joining the lineup is Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a modern update to the cult-favorite platformer starring Mickey Mouse. The remake refreshes the original game with updated visuals and refined controls while keeping its central mechanic intact. Players use paint and thinner to reshape the world, restore forgotten characters, or erase obstacles entirely. The choices you make influence how the story unfolds, giving the game replay value beyond its nostalgic appeal.
Rounding out the month is Core Keeper, a cooperative sandbox adventure that blends exploration, crafting, and survival. Set in a mysterious underground world, the game encourages players to mine resources, build bases, fight creatures, and uncover ancient secrets. It supports solo play or multiplayer and offers a slower, systems-driven experience compared to January’s more action-focused titles.
As with all monthly offerings, once the games are added to your library, they remain playable as long as your PlayStation Plus subscription stays active. The January lineup highlights Sony’s ongoing effort to balance big-name releases with creative and genre-spanning experiences, giving players multiple reasons to log in early in the year.
