Taylor Swift is bringing her next era to the big screen. She just announced “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,” a limited theatrical event running October 3rd through October 5th, to celebrate her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The event will roll out across major theater chains including AMC, Regal, and Cinemark.
The 89-minute special will feature a world premiere of the music video for her new single “The Fate of Ophelia,” behind-the-scenes footage, lyric videos from the album, and personal reflections from Taylor Swift on the creative process.
Showtimes start at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT on October 3rd. Tickets are priced at $12 (a nod to this being her 12th album). and went on sale at 12:12 p.m. ET on September 19th.
Taylor encouraged fans to dress up, sing, and dance along during screenings, though she emphasized that standing on seats or blocking aisles is discouraged to keep things safe.
While the U.S. rollout covers all 540 AMC theaters, along with venues in Cinemark and Regal, international markets including the U.K., Canada, Australia, France, Germany, and others will also host showings during the same weekend — with some additional countries joining later in October.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, theaters in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose will be among those participating.
