Two turntables and a microphone.

To celebrate 50 years of the SL1200 turntable, Technics has announced limited-edition models in black, red, blue, white, green, yellow and beige, which apparently “have been selected to reflect the street culture that gave birth to DJing”.

The SL-1200M7L’s have golden tonearms, engraved serial numbers, and come with gold-coloured slipmats with Technics logo.

The turntables feature starting torque/brake speed adjustment, reverse play, and high brightness long-life LEDs in the stylus illuminators.

Technics are touting the “high-rigidity cabinet and high-damping insulation for thorough shut-out of all vibrations, even during harsh operating conditions”.

Only 12,000 of these turntables will be made. You can preorder one now for $1099, with it expected to arrive in early July.
